3-D Modeling
Instructor: Marc – MIT student
Students will learn the fundamentals of 3D modeling by designing engineering parts from technical drawings using CAD software. Through a series of hands-on projects, they will develop skills in transforming 2D sketches into 3D models and bring their designs to life using 3D printers.
Book Club
Instructor: Ms. Gatlin
Together, students will choose and read a book while sharing their thoughts and reactions. Through guided discussions, students will expand their love of literature, stories, and characters.
Chess

Whether you are just beginning your chess journey or are nationally ranked, these small groups help students hone their chess skills through games and exercises. Chances available to participate in tournaments.
Cooking Club

Interested in learning different cooking and baking techniques? Sign up to make (and eat) delicious creations, from snacks to full meals and desserts – at least one full recipe per session.
Competition Science
Instructor: Ms. Labrecque
Students compete in the SigmaCamp Problem of the Month (POM) while researching and solving complex mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, linguistics and computer science problems.
Data Analysis Research Program
Instructors: Ms. Victoria, Sophia – MIT student
A year-long research experience in which students analyze real CERN data under the mentorship of MIT students and complete an original research project for their scientific portfolios.
Embroidery Club
Instructor: Ms. Jenya
Learn the basics of embroidery through fun, hands-on projects. Students will practice simple stitching techniques, create colorful designs, and develop creativity, patience, and fine motor skills while exploring textile art.
Geography Bee
Instructor: Ms. Anderson
Prepare for the Geography Bee by exploring world geography through fun quizzes and competition-style practice. Students will build their confidence, and skills while getting ready to compete.
Literary Magazine
Instructor: Ms. Mason
Students of all experience levels will work together to create the Lumen Newspaper, writing articles, conducting interviews, taking photos, and designing each issue. The club develops writing, communication, and teamwork.
Math Team

Students learn non-standard math topics like fractals, combinatorics, binary numbers, and cryptography while preparing for various math competitions, including Math Kangaroo, Noetic, NEML, MOEMS, IMLEM, Mathcounts, and AMC 8.
Model UN
Instructor: Mr. Littlefield
Prepare to compete in the Model UN Olympiad hosted by Lumen. Students will represent different countries, research global issues, prepare speeches and participate in debates and negotiations.
Molecular Biology Research Project
Instructor: Ms. Labrecque
Students will work on collecting samples, extracting DNA, amplifying and detecting it. We will send our samples for DNA barcoding and will have a poster and presentation at the end of this course.
Neuroscience Club (Brain Bee Competition)
Instructor: Ms. Labrecque
Students will explore the structure and function of the brain, learn about memory, emotions, sensation, movement, and neurological disorders. The club develops critical thinking, and confidence while preparing students to compete at the highest level.
Painting Lab
Instructor: Ms. Jenya
Explore painting through watercolor, acrylics, pastels, charcoal, and mixed media. Students will experiment with a variety of techniques and materials while developing creativity, artistic skills, and confidence in a fun studio environment.
Physics Explorers
Instructor: Ms. Victoria
Discover how physicists explore and understand the world. Students will perform hands-on experiments while learning how to measure and collect data. Through engaging activities, they will develop scientific thinking, curiosity, and confidence in asking and answering questions.
Physics Problem Solving

Students will explore motion, forces, energy, momentum, while learning how to draw diagrams, identify key variables, make reasonable assumptions, estimate answers, and find multiple solution strategies.

Half-hour, 45-minute, or hour-long private lessons available for Piano, Violin, Viola, Clarinet, and Saxophone.

Russian Poetry

Playful and lively, children discover classic and contemporary authors, like Kharms, Moritz, Zakhoder, and Chukovsky. Through games and discussion, children learn poetic essentials – meter, rhythm, rhyme, phonetic play, and more!

Table Tennis

Improve your table tennis skills in a fun and supportive environment. Students will develop technique, agility, strategy, and sportsmanship through drills, practice matches, and friendly competition while building confidence and teamwork.
Tennis

Learn and practice tennis skills year-round to keep in shape! Students can play singles, doubles, and will have 1:1 attention from the coach. Equipment is provided, but students can also bring their own.
Vocabulary Workshop

Build a stronger vocabulary through fun games, riddles, while preparing for the SAT and Spelling Bee. Students will expand their word knowledge, improve spelling, and develop confidence in reading, writing, and communication.
Volleyball Team

Designed for experienced players, the Advanced Volleyball Team focuses on refining technical skills, advanced game strategies, and competitive play.
