Whether or not you

have Irish heritage, you and your children are living in the the greater Boston area. Here on St. Patrick’s Day, everyone is Irish! This holiday belongs to us all.

At Lumen, we’ll be reading about the legend of St. Patrick, Irish folklore, and culture. We’ll learn to write limericks, (a form of Irish poetry). We’ll also enjoy eating

some green colored food.

We’d invite our students to join in the tradition of “the wearing of the green.” In this spirit, if possible, please send your student/s to

school wearing green clothing next Tuesday. (Anything at all is fine. Silly is truly the order of the day.)
